“Optimism is essential to achievement and it is also the foundation of courage and true progress” – Nicholas Murray Butler
This year has produced awful challenges with the wildfires in Greece. Our deepest sympathies are there with you all. Although this is difficult, we must try to be optimistic as optimism is the foundation for progress, and AIG Greece, through its generous acts, is an example by helping its country progress through this disaster.
Creating foundations has been a theme this month with the budget meetings. Each of our countries has come to Dubai to report their achievements for 2007 and their plans for 2008. Since the Regional Meeting last May, we have also been working to create new multi-line product designs. Not only are we expanding our products, but we are also planning to expand geographically. As this will be a challenging experience, we have newly appointed Mr. Mujib Khan as the Senior Vice President of Government Relations to facilitate the process.
Our expansion is not limited just to the conventional side of insurance, but we are making some steady progress with our Takaful insurance as well. Mr. Abdallah Kubursi has been newly appointed to oversee the growth and process strategies for AIG Takaful-Enaya globally by entering new markets. Also, Mr. Ayman Alajmi has been promoted to the Arabian Region General Manager for AIG Takaful-Enaya reporting to Mr. Osama Abdeen, Executive Vice President – Arabian Region.
As we enter a religious time of the year, I would like to wish you all “Ramadan Mubarak”.
Welcome to global insurance with a local perspective, “While you keep your eye on the opportunity, we will take care of the risk.”
Best Regards,

Charles Bouloux
Regional President
AIG MEMSA, Inc.
